Time for Halloween!

I can't believe we are starting the month of October!  That means that it's time to plan some Halloween projects!   You're invited to join me for my Halloween Fun Workshop on Thursday, October 2nd, 6 p.m.--or, if you are long-distance, just enjoy browsing the projects I've made:

Here's a photo of the projects we'll be making this year. . .it was hard to decide because we've got such cute things to work with this year!!

This is the very FIRST card I made with our Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge--and it was SO EASY!!!  If you are a card maker, you MUST have this cartridge!!!  To order, visit my website at http://christina.ctmh.com

I got this super cute card idea from Consultant Donna Digby.  I'm just in love with this little stamp set--the images are so cute (and not scary)--so they're great for kids' projects.  The card features Scaredy Cat paper and the Frightfully Fun stamp set (B1453--$9.95).  Tell me these cute little characters don't make you SMILE!  Used my ShinHan Touch Twin markers to color the images.

We've added several new "Designer Creations" products to our catalog this year. . .they are simple boxes, pouches and bags just waiting for you to add your creativity!  This bag is the Designer Creations Buttoned Bag (Z2053, $4.95 for 2).  I've added stamped images from the Halloween Greetings stamp set (D1605 $17.95) as well as some shapes cut from my CTMH Cricut cartridges.  The design was inspired by a bag that Michelle Snyder showed us at Convention this year (LOVED her class).

Now, here is one of my absolute FAVORITE new products this year. . .the Cut Above Halloween Treat Bag Kit.  You can't get any easier than this!!  The kit comes with the treat bags (plus cellophane bags to put inside), stickers for your candies, foam tape and the white circles for you to stamp your message on.  I used the coordinating Sweet Salutations stamp set (B1466 $9.95) along with it (this stamp set is a MUST have if you ever make treats for any holidays).  I added an extra Cricut mat to the "Sweet Treats" circle, but otherwise, we're talking about a five-minute project.  Plus, you get 10 bags in every kit for only $14.95!!  This is total bliss for the busy crafter!

September Card Marathon

We have ALL new papers and stamps to play with, and that means it is time for another card marathon class!  Here are the cards we will be making on September 8th or 9th.  If you have not yet signed up for the workshop, it's not too late!  We'll make 20 cards in one night (four each of the five designs shown below).  The stamping is fairly simple for these cards, so the class is appropriate for beginner stampers!

You wouldn't know it, but the paper for this card came from the Yuletide paper pack, even though the card doesn't have a Christmas look at all.  I love this neutral pattern that works with ANYTHING!  The stamp set is B1467 You Mean the World to Me--a set that I love because it's got practical sentiments that card makers can use over and over again.  For the workshop, attendees can choose whatever message they want to put in the circle. . .even something for wedding or anniversary.

I'm always happy when we introduce some new stamp sets that work for masculine cards.  This paper for this card comes from the Seaside paper pack, and the stamp set is D1609 Seaside Greetings.

This card features the Confetti Wishes paper pack--fun, bright paper that just makes you smile!  The stamp set is D1618 Build-a-Cake (I used it to build a present).  Ink colors are Lagoon, Pacifica, Canary and Thistle.

This card was inspired by a design I saw on Pinterest.  I knew it would work great with our new Brushed paper pack.   Again, you could add any sentiment stamp to this card to make it work for a variety of occasions.

This card was designed by one of my team members, Susan Williams.  It's a simple card where we can easily switch out the message stamp, so I knew it would be perfect for our card marathon class.  The paper is from the Chalk It Up paper pack, and once again, I used the "You Mean the World to Me" stamp set (a MUST have, if you're a card maker).

SEPTEMBER SPECIALS!

It's a new month, and that brings wonderful new specials from Close to My Heart!  September is National Stamping Month, and we always celebrate it with a fun, exclusive stamp set.  During the month of September, when you purchase $30 in STAMPS from Close to My Heart, you will receive this 30-image stamp set absolutely FREE!  That's an incredible value, and I know you'll love creating projects with all of these fun images.

We have a beautiful stamp set for our September Stamp of the Month.   These images would be fabulous for some family scrapbook pages, but I've also seem some beautiful cards made with it.  I'll be sure to post some additional artwork with this stamp set in the next couple of weeks.   You can purchase this stamp set for only $5 with a $50 additional purchase, or you can purchase it for the regular retail price of $17.95.  Or, better yet, combine it with our awesome National Stamping Month campaign and get two great deals!
